
Poetic Symposium Organized by deo Ravinder Kaur LUDHIANA (Primary)

Under the leadership of Mrs. Ravinder Kaur, District Education Officer (Primary), Ludhiana, a unique initiative was undertaken for the very first time to encourage and celebrate the creative interests of teachers serving in the education department. A special Poetic Symposium (Kavi Darbar) was organized today at Punjabi Bhawan Hall, Ludhiana.
A large number of respected teacher-poets from the Ludhiana district actively participated in this event. Honourable Mr. Sanjeev Arora, Member of Parliament, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and highly appreciated the poetic talents of the teachers. He remarked that teachers, through their poetry, instill strong moral values in their students.
Mr. Sandeep Sharma, District Language Officer, inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp and praised Mrs. Ravinder Kaur for her commendable efforts in promoting literature and emotional awareness within the education department.
Out of a total of 96 registered poets, 25 teacher-poets were selected for the first round to present their original compositions, which captivated the audience. Mrs. Ravinder Kaur herself presented an inspiring poem featuring the motivating line: “Even if the night is dark and stormy, don’t lose hope”, winning the hearts of all present.
Renowned literary figure Mr. Gulzar Singh Pandher emotionally emphasized that preserving the literary creations of teachers and nurturing children through them can lead to a meaningful and successful life.
Deputy District Education Officers Mr. Manoj Kumar and Mr. Bhag Singh Bhatti also showcased their literary talent by presenting remarkable poems.
Prominent attendees included Manmeet Pal Singh, Gurdeep Saini, Jagjit Singh Jhande, Rakesh Tejpal, Jaswinder Singh, Tarnpreet Kaur, Vipandeep Kaur, Gurpreet Kaur, and Mandeep Kaur, among others.
In the end, the event concluded as a memorable and impactful occasion, leaving a lasting impression and setting a new benchmark for cultural initiatives within the education department.
