
District Education Officer (Elementary) Ludhiana Launches Summer Camp to Nurture Teachers’ Artistic InterestsUnder the leadership of District Education Officer (Elementary) Mrs. Ravinder Kaur and Deputy District Education Officer Mr. Manoj

Kumar, a district-level summer camp for teachers has been launched at the In-Service Training Centre, Ludhiana. This initiative is aimed at encouraging and nurturing the artistic interests of teachers during the summer vacation.While teachers are on their summer break, those with creative and artistic inclinations have voluntarily registered for this unique camp. Speaking to the press, Mrs. Ravinder Kaur shared that approximately 142 teachers have enrolled in the camp out of their own interest.The primary objective of the camp is to enhance teachers’ handwriting and creative writing skills, which can in turn help improve students’ handwriting and writing abilities in schools. Teachers will also receive training in developing Teaching-Learning Material (TLM) to support activity-based learning for students from pre-primary to Grade 3 under the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) mission.Through calligraphy and painting, participants will learn how to create engaging educational materials. To guide the teachers in handwriting improvement, material development, and painting techniques, subject experts including Sonjit Kaur (SPS Malkpur), Sumanpreet (SPS PAU), Kuldeep Singh (SPS Dhaipai), and Kuldeep Kumar have been specially assigned to the camp.The camp is scheduled to run for three days but may be extended based on the interest and enthusiasm of the participants.Key coordinators and attendees at the camp’s launch included Manmeetpal Singh Garewal (District Resource Coordinator), Baldev Singh (Mullanpur), Jagjit Singh (Jhande), Vishal Kumar, Narinder Singh (Jandiali), Rajeev Kumar, Manjinder Singh (BRC), and Balveer Singh (Basian), among others.
