Introduction

The Bombay Engineer Group and Centre, Khadki, Pune, is set to conduct the Agniveer Recruitment Rally under the Unit Headquarters (UHQ) quota from 8th July 2024 to 10th August 2024. This rally aims to enroll Agniveers, specifically targeting the wards (sons/brothers) of ex-servicemen, serving soldiers, widows, and war widows

Eligibility Criteria

Age and Education

  • Agniveer (General Duty): 17 ½ to 21 years, 10th pass with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject.
  • Agniveer (Technical): 17 ½ to 21 years, 10+2/Intermediate in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Math, and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject.
  • Agniveer (Tradesmen 10th Pass): 17 ½ to 21 years, 10th simple pass with 33% in each subject.
  • Agniveer (Tradesmen 8th Pass): 17 ½ to 21 years, 8th simple pass with 33% in each subject.

Physical Criteria

Physical standards vary by region and category. For example:

  • Western Himalayan Region: Minimum height of 163 cm for GD and Technical categories.
  • Western Plains Region: Minimum height of 170 cm for GD and Technical categories.

Priority for Enrollment

Priority is given based on the candidate’s relation to servicemen and their service status. For instance:

  • Priority 1: Sons of war widows in receipt of Liberalised Family Pension.
  • Priority 2: Sons of servicemen who died in harness and whose widows are in receipt of Special Family Pension.
  • Priority 3: Sons of servicemen/ex-servicemen.
  • Priority 4 and 5: As detailed in the official recruitment directive.

Candidates must bring the following documents:

  • Educational certificates (originals and photocopies)
  • Relationship certificate
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)

Recruitment Process

  2. Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Includes a 1.6 km run, pull-ups, a 9-foot ditch jump, and a zig-zag balance test.
  3. Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Checking height, weight, and chest measurements.
  4. Medical Examination: Primary and review medical checks.
  5. Common Entrance Examination (CEE): Written test for all selected candidates.

Special Instructions

Candidates should note the following:

  • Only unmarried candidates are eligible.
  • Candidates must report by 0500 hours at Nanda Gate BEG & Centre Khadki.
  • No candidate will be allowed entry after 0800 hours.
  • The rally process will be video recorded to ensure transparency.

Bonus Marks

Bonus marks will be awarded in the CEE for various achievements such as:

  • Representation at international and national sports levels.
  • NCC certificate holders (A, B, and C certificates).
  • ITI and technical diploma holders.
